A chorus, χορός, khoros, in the context of Ancient Greek tragedy and comedy, is a homogeneous group of masked performers, who comment with a collective voice on the dramatic action. Each performs an utterance, a performative action directed toward and absorbed by a body. Meant to be viewed as simultaneous projections, the raw skin as protagonist absorbs uttered sound ad infinitum, investigating absurdity, emotional contagion, episodic memory and semantic satiation.
